Clause 01·Leaderboard Bidding

1. Acceptance of Terms & Leaderboard Agreement

By accessing or placing bids on LaunchRank (launchrank.tech), you agree to these legal terms. LaunchRank operates a competitive, real-time leaderboard exchange where rank placements are acquired via dynamic bidding.

Binding Agreement

Placing any bid, activating defend shields, or listing a startup constitutes a binding legal agreement under these terms.

Platform Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age or possess legal authority to represent your software product or company.

Dynamic Ranking Protocol

Ranks are temporary leases held only as long as your bid remains the highest active bid in that board tier.

Clause 02·Leaderboard Bidding

2. Leaderboard Bidding & Outbidding Mechanics

Leaderboard positions are determined dynamically based on paid outbid amounts. Higher bids outbid existing rank holders and take immediate top placement in real time.

Outbid Increments

Outbids require the current rank bid plus a minimum step increment ($2 for category boards, $5 for the Global Board).

Real-Time Re-ranking

When outbid, your product drops down in rank position automatically. You receive instant dethrone notifications.

Non-Refundable Bids

All bids are final once processed on the ledger, except as guaranteed under our 100% Verified Traffic Impression Guarantee.

Clause 03·Defend & Shields

3. Defend Shields & Auto-Defend Engine

Founders can protect their hard-earned rank using timed Defend Shields or automated counter-bidding budgets.

Defend Shield Locks

Activating a 12h, 24h, or 48h Defend Shield locks outbidding completely for the active rank window.

Auto-Defend Counter-Bidding

Auto-Defend automatically counter-bids when challenged up to your pre-set budget limit ($50 – $250).

Founder Responsibility

Founders are responsible for setting and maintaining accurate budget limits and payment authorizations.

Clause 04·Prohibited Content

4. Prohibited Content & Fair Play Policy

To preserve leaderboard integrity and visitor trust, LaunchRank strictly enforces content quality and click security standards.

Zero Malicious Content

Listings containing malware, phishing links, illegal material, or misleading redirects will be permanently removed without refund.

No Bot Manipulation

Automated click farming, synthetic traffic generation, or bot manipulation results in immediate account disqualification.

Listing Verification Rights

LaunchRank reserves the right to reject or unlist products that violate intellectual property or security protocols.

Clause 05·Payments & Refunds

5. Payment Processing & Delivery Guarantees

All payments are processed securely via Dodo Payments. Guaranteed traffic packages include automated pro-rata credit protection.

Merchant of Record

Transactions are processed by Dodo Payments. You authorize LaunchRank to charge your payment method for selected bids.

Impression Guarantees

If a guaranteed impression package fails to deliver the promised traffic targets, automated credits or refunds are issued.

Currency & Tax Rates

All monetary figures are displayed in USD ($) and are exclusive of applicable local sales taxes or VAT.

Clause 06·Liability & Disputes

6. Limitation of Liability & Dispute Resolution

LaunchRank provides the leaderboard platform "as is". We strive for 99.9% uptime and transparent real-time bidding updates.

Platform Availability

While we maintain high availability, LaunchRank is not liable for indirect revenue loss due to rare network outages.

Direct Dispute Channel

Disputes regarding bids or charges should be directed to support@launchrank.tech prior to filing payment chargebacks.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by standard commercial internet service protocols and applicable SaaS operating laws.

7. Cookie Policy & Local Browser Storage

LaunchRank uses strictly essential session cookies and local browser storage tokens to keep you authenticated and save UI preferences. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Essential Session Cookies

Secure authentication tokens generated via Supabase to keep your founder account authenticated across page reloads.

Local Storage State

We store local browser state for UI preferences, notification read states, and dismissible banner states.

Zero Advertising Trackers

We do NOT embed third-party advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site fingerprinting scripts.

No. Leaderboard bidding is competitive and dynamic. Purchasing a rank grants a real-time placement lease. To prevent quick dethrones, founders can activate a Defend Shield or set up Auto-Defend counter-bids.
